Members of Way Too Loose and the Kelly Reed Band came together in 2023 to create the explosive Kelly and The Troublemakers.
Fronted by the powerful vocals of Kelly Reed, this tightly knit band electrifies their sound with a unique and focused blend of rock, blues, and country rock. Always entertaining, their motto is: If you’re not having fun, we’re not having fun! The Troublemakers bring a unique musical aesthetic to the stage and have grown comfortable jumping genres and creatively integrating influences.
A powerhouse vocalist and performer, Kelly’s energy and presentation consistently raise the roof at every show. The daughter of a concert pianist, she has been singing all her life. Early classical and rock influences were refocused in the last two decades and Kelly’s sound now encompasses jazz, blues, and pop. A West Coast artist with East Coast roots, Kelly has performed across 3 continents, from Australia to Germany, to Canada and more, including Las Vegas, New York, Seattle and San Francisco. While her influences include Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Paul Rodgers, Carole King and Elton John, her unique presentation dazzles and is very much her own.
Cliff Garett attended the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and it shows! He is an amazing guitarist that continues to blow away audiences with his gifted ability to make the guitar sing.
Music fascinated Greg from an early age but found the Mel Bay method at his local music store soul-crushing! When he started playing bass in rock bands as a kid, a whole world of sound and fun opened up for him. Greg is all about impactful and tasteful grooves. He has played around New York City, San Francisco, London and Casablanca and now lives in the Seattle area where he plays with a several excellent bands.
Multi-instrumentalist Dennis Rhodes elevates each song on sax, keyboards and vocals. Originally a member of Way Too Loose, he brings his diverse musical background to play in every song.
Ken on guitar and vocals was with the original band Way Too Loose since 2006. Originally from Chicago, Ken has rocked the Seattle music scene for the past 20 years. He is strongly influenced by multiple rock and blues guitarists, and also brings a country rock flavor to his songs.
Larry started his music career playing Jazz in High School and eventually had an opportunity to play with Doc Severinson from the Tonight Show band, inspiring his lasting jazz interests. After college at a local arts school in Seattle, journeys in local music transpired with singer songwriter Carrie Clark that would take him on a west coast tour to perform at South by Southwest in Austin, TX. Later Larry would tour Europe with The Degenerate Art Ensemble, but his heart always remained in Rock and Roll, eventually anchoring the Way Too Loose band and now the Troublemakers.
